************ HELP FOR MAC USERS ************

MAC users should add the following three steps to the AGILE SW installation
procedure described in the readme_4.0.txt.

1) remove the  link to nsl library both in the 
  /BUILD_GRID_4.0/Projects/AG_multi2/Makefile and 
  /BUILD_GRID_4.0/Projects/scientific_analysis/Makefile

2) substitute $(COPY) with cp in COPY_DIR  both in the 
  /BUILD_GRID_4.0/Projects/AG_multi2/Makefile and 
  /BUILD_GRID_4.0/Projects/scientific_analysis/Makefile

3) create a  symbolic link in  <your-root-install-dir>/lib/  by typing:
ln -s libMinuit.so libMinuit.dylib

****************************** WARNING *************************

For any installation problem please first consider the following items:

- ROOT versions higher than 5.20 are not compatible with the AGILE SW
  release 4.0  (see readme_4.0.txt).

- check the value of the AGILE_CFITSIO_LIBNAME variable, the commad 
echo $AGILE_CFITSIO_LIBNAME 
must return either
lcfitsio 
or 
lcfitsio_<version number> (e.g. lcfitsio_3.12; see readme_4.0.txt)

If problems persist please contact the AGILE HelpDesk
attaching the log of the 'make install'. 
It is advisable to redirect both the output of the make install and 
errors in the log file using:
c-shell #   make install >& out.log
bash    #   make install >  out.log 2>&1

To our knowledge, the AGILE SW release 4.0 has been successfully installed on:
